	Assessment of the Impact of Fairtrade in South Africa An extensive impact assessment of Fairtrade in South Africa.

	An Assessment of the State of Knowledge of Ethical Trade in South Africa Report to the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) on the status of ethical trade in the South African horticultural sector.

	A rapid appraisal study of the state of open-source knowledge on the causes of civil violence in South Africa, 2006-2009 A review and the causes of civil violence as presented in open-source literature.

	Baseline Survey for HIV Prevention and Economic Empowerment along Transport Corridors in Southern Africa Commissioned by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) to conduct a ‘Baseline Survey for HIV Prevention and Economic Empowerment along Transport Corridors in Southern Africa’.

	Network of European/ICPC Cooperation in the field of AIDS and TB Sub-Saharan Africa Case Study Report. Research into the effectiveness of current approaches of the global scientific community in tasking the dual epidemic of AIDS and TB.

	GTZ supported Mpumalanga Rural Development Programme (MRDP) Commissioned to support the GTZ Mpumalanga Rural Development Programme (MRDP) to develop guidelines to aid local and district municipalities develop 'credible' agricultural chapters as part of their Integrated Development Plans (IDPs).

	A rapid assessment of the potential socio-economic impact of the Western Cape Liquor Act Commissioned to assess the impact of the Western Cape Liquor Act on unregulated trades. Under the act all unlicensed liquor traders in the province (shebeens) would be considered illegal, and the implementation would necessitate police action to enforce the closure of businesses that had, in many cases, been operating for several years through the legal loopholes that preceded the Act.

	Furthering the application for funding by the West Coast Fossil Park Trust to the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund Commissioned by the West Coast Fossil Park Trust (WCFPT) to develop a comprehensive proposal to the South African National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF) to enhance the WCFP Vision.

	Technical Assistance in Community Mobilisation - Sustainable Rural Development in the Eastern Cape (SURUDEC) Programme. Mobilisation and technical support to rural communities of the Eastern Cape, South Africa, in applying for development grants from the EU-funded SURUDEC programme administered by the Eastern Cape Office of the Premier.

	Understanding the Informal Economy - Research Support to the Limpopo Centre for LED. Field research and delineation of policy recommendations to best support the informal economy rural and retails trade sectors in urban, peri-urban and rural locations of Limpopo Province, South Africa.

	Land Reform - Research Support to the Limpopo Centre for LED. Field research and delineation of policy recommendations to best support the process of agricultural land reform in Limpopo Province, South Africa.

	Benchmarking Competitiveness - Research Support to the Limpopo Centre for LED. Development of a tool for benchmarking the competitiveness of enterprises, industry clusters and area strategies for industry and LED planners.

	Training the Hoerikwaggo Trail Guides - Table Mountain National Park. Selection, training and development of the Hoerikwaggo trail guides, the centrepiece of the Hoerikwaggo Trail within South Africa's most visited protected area, Table Mountain National Park.

	Regional Demand for Conservation Training - Peace Parks Foundation and World-Wide Fund for Nature, South Africa. Assessment and recommendation regarding the future role for the Southern African Wildlife College as a regional training institution for conservation professionals.

	Western Cape Informal Economy Study. Research into the function and business activities of the informal economy in Cape Town and the greater Western Cape to assist in guiding Provincial Government policy towards this sector.

	Monitoring and Evaluation of Graduates of the Southern African Wildlife College. Field research conducting interviews and analysis of conservation management graduates of the Southern African Wildlife College in eleven SADC countries.

	Child Labour in the Manufacturing and Sale of Liquor. A rapid assessment of the extent of children working in the making and selling of liquor in South Africa. Dissemination of the findings of the study to key stakeholders in the liquor industry and participants in the Government's Child Labour Programme of Action.

	Agricultural service provision by the private sector in Malawi. Support for the activities of the GTZ Agricultural Extension Support Project to facilitate greater private sector investment in providing agricultural services to small-scale farmers.

	A People - Centred Development Approach for Small Farmers in Limpopo Provinces. Documentation of the organisational change process that the Limpopo Department of Agriculture (LDA) underwent in its adoption of a participatory agricultural extension approach (PEA), and the uptake of PEA by small-scale farmers.

	Limpopo Meets The Future - The Limpopo Guide to Fair Trade. Development of a resource tool for producers and assistance for policy makers to promote Fair Trade in Local Economic Development strategies.

	Engagement in Ethical Trade among Cape Wine Producers. Field research on the process of ethical engagement in South Africa's wine industry.
